Strap Guy Hook

This product is widely used in the infrastructure of the electric utility and telecommunication industries. Typical applications include:

Guying systems for wood poles: Designed to secure steel cables that run from the top of the pole diagonally to the ground or an anchor point.

High-reliability lines: Especially in storm-prone areas, this "storm-style" design offers enhanced safety by preventing guy wire system failure under extreme conditions.

Main Material: The hook is constructed from steel, measuring 1/4 inch in thickness, 1.5 inches in width, and 7 inches in length.

Surface Finish: The steel undergoes hot-dip galvanizing in compliance with ASTM A-153 standards. This treatment provides exceptional corrosion resistance, ensuring long-term durability in harsh outdoor environments.

Cutting and Forming: Steel plates are cut into strips and then formed into the specific hook shape through stamping and bending processes.

Hot-Dip Galvanizing: The formed hooks are cleaned, pickled, and then immersed in molten zinc to create a dense zinc-iron alloy layer. This step is critical to achieving the corrosion protection required by the ASTM A-153 standard.

The hook is securely attached to the pole using two types of fasteners:

Through Bolt: A 3/4-inch through bolt passes through the pole and the main body of the hook, serving as the primary load-bearing point.

Anti-Rotation Screw: A 1/2-inch lag screw is driven into the pole to prevent the hook from rotating, ensuring it stays firmly in place.
